We may experience distress

to the point where our soul refuses any comfort.

When we experience distress,

we may stay up all night seeking the Lord and praying,

to the point where our soul refuses any comfort.

During such times,

we become anxious and troubled, and our hearts grow weak.

Thus, we start to ponder these questions:

Will the Lord rescue me from this distress?

Will He never show me grace again?

Has His love for me vanished forever?

Have His promises come to nothing?

Has He forgotten to be gracious to me? and so on

(Ref.: Psalms 77:2-4, 7-9).
