We also need to prioritize family ministry,

following the example of Job.

Job was a man who was truthful and honest, feared God, and shunned evil.

On his birthday, each of his sons held a feast at his house.

He also invited his three sisters, and they ate and drank with him.

At the end of the feast, he called his children and sanctified them.

He got up early in the morning and offered burnt offerings

according to the number of his children.

The reason was because he wondered

if his sons might have sinned and dishonored God in their hearts.

Job's behavior was always like this (Job 1:1-5).

When I meditate on these words,

I think that as a father, Job first set an example for his children

by being truthful and honest, serving God with a fearful heart, and avoiding evil.

And I think Job placed great importance on family ministry.

The reason I think this way is because in Job 1:1-5,

it introduces who Job is (v. 1), mentions how many children he had (v. 2),

discusses his possessions (v. 3), and then from verses 4-5,

it talks about Job's children specifically.

Job was afraid that his children might have sinned

and dishonored God in their hearts,

so he offered burnt offerings according to the number of them.

It seems that Job wanted not only himself but also his children

to not dishonor God in their hearts.

I think he was a person who lived a God-fearing life

focusing on his heart rather than his actions.

We must follow Job's example and become people who are truthful and honest,

serve God with a fearful heart, and shun evil.

And we must follow Job’s example and attach importance to family ministry.

As we focus on our hearts rather than our actions and live our lives of faith,

we must check our hearts from time to time to see

if we are dishonoring God in our hearts.
