When God saves His people and raises up His people,
He allows unbelievers to receive grace as well.
The eunuch Hegai found Esther, a beautiful young woman with a lovely figure,
pleasing, and showed her favor and kindness.
"He immediately provided her with cosmetics
and good food and assigned to her seven female attendants
selected from the palace and moved them to the best place in the harem"
(Esther 2:9).
As I reflect on this passage, I believe that God elevated Esther
to be queen in place of Queen Vashti and caused Hegai,
the eunuch, to favor her and show her kindness.
In God's plan to save His people, He extends grace even to unbelievers
when He raises up His chosen person.
