We don’t know what to do, so we only look to the Lord.
When Satan and his forces attack our homes and churches,
we find ourselves powerless to ward off such attacks,
so we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on the Lord
(2 Chronicles 20:12).
In this way, in the midst of spiritual war,
when we deeply experience our own inadequacy and helplessness,
we find ourselves looking to the Lord alone for guidance.
Therefore, such profound difficulties seem to teach us two things:
(1) Our own powerlessness and helplessness,
(2) That our focus should be solely on Almighty God, the God of salvation.
