Lord, who restores and revives us.

When we are in extreme fear and deep discouragement,

feeling like we want to die, we, like Elijah, may fall asleep

exhausted in mind and body after crying out to God.

At that very moment, the Lord, with the hands that bear the marks of the nails,

 touches us and speaks to us, restoring and reviving us

(Ref.: 1 Kings 19:4-7; Psalms 71:20; 80:18; Isaiah 57:15; Jeremiah 30:17).
