I pray that the work of the Word will be doubled.

When Elijah asked Elisha,

"Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?"

Elisha replied, "Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit."

Elijah said, "You have asked a difficult thing"

(2 Kings 2:9-10).

Likewise, I also want to ask God

for what may seem really difficult in the eyes of the pioneers of faith.

As I meditate on the Lord's word day and night (Psalms 1:2),

the word of the Lord who is the bread of life (John 6:48), and share it with people,

I pray to the Lord that the work of His word may appear in double measure,

just as Jesus fed 5,000 men with five loaves of bread and two fish,

with leftovers to spare (John 6:1-15).
