God even uses our deceptions to fulfill his promises.

Jacob, who worked for seven years to marry Rachel,

eventually ended up marrying not only Rachel but also her sister Leah.

Additionally, he took their maidservants, Bilhah and Zilpah, as concubines,

and through these four women, he fathered children (Genesis 29:20-29, 30).

This was in accordance with the blessing from his father Isaac,

"May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful" (28:3),

and the promise from God to Jacob,

"Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth" (v. 14),

which God fulfilled in this manner.

God used even Laban, Jacob's uncle, deceiving him

to ultimately fulfill the blessing Isaac had prayed for Jacob's descendants.

The faithful God works through human fallibility

to accomplish the fulfillment of His promises.
