A husband who fails to nurture his wife well with the word of God

and does not rebuke her with love.

The woman succumbed to the most cunning temptation of Satan

and ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Her husband had clearly received the command from God,

"You are free to eat from any tree in the garden,

but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,

for when you eat from it, you will certainly die."

However, it seems that he did not properly nurture her with God's word.

Consequently, the woman picked the fruit and ate it.

Then, when she gave the fruit to her husband, he should have said to his wife,

"Didn't God tell me, 'You are free to eat from any tree in the garden,

but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,

for when you eat from it, you will certainly die'?"

However, the man also ate the fruit. Instead of leading his wife with God's word,

he was led by his wife who had fallen into Satan's temptation, and together they sinned against God

(Genesis 2:16-17; 3:1, 6; Ephesians 5:29).
