However, God had people kill His only Son Jesus Christ,
who had no sin on the cross.
Even though Cain could not overcome sin and was controlled by sin,
killing his brother Abel, God said,
“Whoever kills Cain will be punished seven times over,”
and put a mark on Cain so that no one could kill him.
However, God had people kill His only Son, Jesus Christ,
who had no sin, on the cross.
Jesus Christ took upon ourselves our sins
and received punishment “sevenfold” on the cross.
Therefore, Jesus spoke seven words on the cross and died
to redeem us (forgiven our sins) and save us
(Genesis 4:7-8, 19; Isaiah 53:10-12; Romans 5:10;
2 Corinthians 5:21; Colossians 1:14).
