The Lord's servants ...

The Lord's servants must diligently read the Bible, give advice, and teach,

while also setting an example for believers

(1 Timothy 4:12-13).

The servant of the Lord strives to the best of his ability

through the power of Him who works mightily within him ...

The servant of the Lord must do his best to preach Christ

and to exhort and teach everyone with all wisdom,

with the power of Him working mightily within him.

The purpose is to present them to God as complete people in Christ

(Colossians 1:28-29).

The heart of a servant of the Lord

The heart of the Lord's servant who spreads the gospel of Jesus Christ

with the help of the saints is to hope that the saints will benefit

(Philippians 4:14-17).
