Righteous person vs. sinner?
Self-proclaimed “righteous” people
who seek to be justified by their own works
worship with a sense of merit,
but “sinners” who acknowledge that they have no righteousness
worship God solely by relying on the merits of Jesus on the cross
and live a life of mercy, the life of a worshiper
(Matthew 9:13).
