Why is joy not overflowing within us?

The reason why joy does not overflowing within us, who are disciples of Jesus,

is because we do not love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind,

and also because we do not love our neighbor as ourselves, , as commanded by Jesus.

In order for joy to be overflowed within us, we must abide in the love of Jesus

by keeping His twofold commandment

(Matthew 22:37, 39; John 15:9-12).
