Without faith …

Without faith, we would not have been able to obey Jesus' words

and move the stone that blocked the entrance to the cave tomb of the dead Lazarus.

We would not have seen the glory of God without faith (John 11:38-45).

“Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6).

“We live by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7).

We who have little faith ...

Even though life is more important than food,

we who have little faith worry about what we will eat,

what we will drink, and what we will wear for our bodies

rather than serving God, who is the source of our life.

We also serve God and wealth together

(Matthew 6:24-30).

Because we have little faith ...

Because we have little faith, we listen to Jesus' words and obey them,

walking on the water toward Jesus, and then see the waves,

and we are scared and sink into the water.

So we shout, "Lord, save me!”

In a word, we doubt because we have little faith.

Hearing our prayer with little faith,

the Lord immediately stretched out His hand and saved us

(Matthew 14:28-31).
