A brief reflection on Parents' Day
As parents, we should strive to embody a consistent faith
from the beginning to the end of our spiritual journey,
gradually becoming more like Jesus Christ
and reflecting the heart of the Lord more and more.
In doing so, we can continue to speak of Jesus to our children even after we pass away
(Heb. 11:4).
May God make our children even more noble (Ps. 71:21).
I pray that God will deepen their faith
and increase their love for the Lord, the church, and the gospel.
May God enlarge the hope of our children,
preparing them to live a life of faith
while eagerly anticipating the return of Jesus Christ.
God has used me to instruct my three children from their youth (v. 17).
The instruction I imparted to them is encapsulated in the hymn "Jesus Loves Me."
The refrain of the hymn says,
"Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so."
As a father, I want to demonstrate to Dillon, Yeri, and Karis
the love of Jesus, as described in the Bible,
so that they may know that Jesus loves them.
Therefore, I fervently pray that even after my passing,
when Dillon, Yeri, and Karis commemorate me,
they will vividly recall the love of Jesus.
May the Lord continue to sustain our children from the womb (v. 6)
and enable them to experience God's immeasurable grace
even in the midst of severe trials, ultimately reviving and delivering them (vv. 20-21).
