The triumph of God's promise!

In the conquest of Ai, God said to Joshua,

'See, I have delivered into your hand the king of Ai,

his people, his city, and his land' (Josh. 8:1),

and 'I will deliver it into your hand' (v. 18).

Joshua then told his warriors,

'Your God, the Lord, will give the city into your hand' (v. 7).

In our spiritual warfare, like Joshua, we must believe in God's promises.

Here is a verse of assurance of victory:

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind.

And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.

But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it”

(1 Cor. 10:13).
