When we hate ...

The commandment of the Lord is to love one another (1 Jn. 3:11, 23).

However, there are times when we disobey this commandment of the Lord

and do not love each other, but rather hate each other.

The Bible tells us that when we hate our brothers/sisters (verse 15):

• We are like Cain (v. 12),
• The world loves us (v. 13),
• We are still dwelling in death (v. 14),
• We are murderers (v. 15).

In other words, when we hate our brothers/sisters,

we are like murderers like Cain (vv. 12, 15).
