Why is it that we do not love one another?

Even though we know that we should love one another according to the commandment of the Lord,

why do we fail to obey that commandment?

The reason is that we are not experiencing

intimate fellowship with the Holy One, Jesus Christ,

who is the eternal Word of life, and who sacrificed Himself on the cross

as the atoning sacrifice for our sins,

out of great love from our Heavenly Father

(1 Jn. 1:1-3; 2:2; 3:1, 16).
