The four blessings of obedience

If we love one another according to the Lord's commandment (1 Jn. 3:11, 23, 24),

there are four blessings of obedience:

• We know that we belong to the truth (v. 19).
• Our hearts are assured before God (v. 19). We gain confidence before God because our hearts do not condemn us (v. 21).

• We receive whatever we ask from God (v. 22).
• We know that we live in Him and He in us because He has given us of His Spirit (v. 24).
