My counselor, my delight

The word of God is “my counselors” (Psalm 119:24).

When I become arrogant or depart from the Lord's commandments,

God rebukes me through His word (v. 21).

God places His word in my heart to prevent me from sinning against Him (v. 11).

The word of God is “my delight” (v. 24).

God opens my eyes to see amazing things in His word (v. 18).

These amazing things are the faithful fulfillment of God's promises given to me,

allowing me to taste the goodness of God (v. 17).

Therefore, even when people slander me,

I meditate on the word of the Lord (v. 23).
